$140k - $160k annual base salary with variable compensation of 15-20% of base salary
Job summary

The Alliance Partner Success Lead plays a pivotal role in Slope, contributing to Sales as the primary relationship owner and strategic bridge between Slope and our clinical research organization (CRO) partners. This role combines partnership management, technical expertise, and business development to ensure partner success while driving revenue growth through strategic alliances. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor within partner organizations, managing governance frameworks and operational workflows while providing hands-on support throughout the entire partner lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned partnership professional with deep clinical research domain expertise who thrives in a consultative role. They possess the unique ability to build trust at all organizational levels – from C-suite executives to operational teams – while maintaining credibility as both a business strategist and technical expert. This person has successfully managed complex enterprise partnerships, understands the intricacies of clinical trial workflows, and can seamlessly navigate between sales conversations and implementation challenges. They are naturally curious about their partners’ businesses, proactive in identifying opportunities, and skilled in translating technical complexity into business value.

Responsibilities

Partnership Management & Governance

  • Own end-to-end relationship management with assigned CRO partners, serving as their primary point of contact and advocate within Slope
  • Establish and maintain partner governance frameworks, including quarterly business reviews, success metrics, and escalation processes
  • Lead weekly operational workstreams with partners to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Act as a strategic advisor to partners on technology adoption, change management, and process optimization initiatives
  • Monitor partner health metrics and proactively identify opportunities for expansion or risk mitigation

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Provide technical and product expertise during partner-led sales cycles, clarifying solution scope and technical feasibility
  • Collaborate with partner sales teams to develop compelling proposals and competitive positioning
  • Support contract negotiations by defining technical requirements, implementation timelines, and success criteria
  • Ensure seamless handoff from sales to delivery, maintaining continuity of partnership commitments

Implementation & Client Success

  • Lead partner onboarding processes, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful technology integration
  • Work closely with Project Management and Client Success teams to deliver seamless solution rollouts
  • Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting during implementation phases
  • Ensure partner solutions meet client needs while maintaining compliance with clinical research standards (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GCP, HIPAA)

Training & Enablement

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive partner training programs, certifications, and technical workshops
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create partner-specific collateral, case studies, and technical documentation
  • Design and implement partner certification programs to ensure consistent service delivery standards
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions between Slope technical teams and partner organizations

Strategic Advisory & Planning

  • Provide strategic input on partner technology roadmaps and integration planning
  • Advise on change management strategies for partner organizations adopting new clinical trial technologies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within partner operations
  • Support long-term partnership strategy development and expansion planning

Experience & requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related field, or equivalent professional experience

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or client success within clinical research technology, with a preference for clinical trial platform or digital health experience
  • Background in business development, strategic partnership, or product management role preferred
  • Proven track record managing strategic partnerships with CROs or clinical research technology vendors
  • Experience with clinical trial technologies, including EDC systems, LIMS, CTMS, digital health platforms, or biospecimen management systems
  • Experience with SaaS implementation, API integrations, and technical troubleshooting
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Deep understanding of clinical research workflows, regulatory requirements, and data management standards
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 11), GCP guidelines, and CDISC data standards
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all organizational levels
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to identify opportunities and develop actionable plans
  • Strong analytical skills for tracking partner performance metrics and identifying trends
  • Experience developing training materials and delivering technical workshops
  • Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience at a CRO, pharmaceutical sponsor, or clinical technology vendor
  • Background in product management, strategic partnerships, or business development within life sciences
  • Experience with biospecimen lifecycle management or laboratory operations
  • Background in change management or organizational development
  • Experience with partner certification program development
